This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. As an E-commerce Backend Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing backend processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and smooth operations across order fulfillment, inventory management, and system integrations. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to support business needs effectively. Your key responsibilities will include: Order Fulfillment & Logistics: You will oversee order processing, fulfillment, and shipping operations to ensure timely deliveries. Collaborate with logistics partners and warehouse teams to optimize shipping costs and delivery times. Monitor and resolve order-related issues, such as delays, cancellations, and returns. Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels across warehouses and online platforms. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and departments to manage stock levels efficiently. Implement inventory tracking systems to enhance operational efficiency. Systems & Process Optimization: Manage backend integrations between the eCommerce platform, ERP, and third-party logistics providers. Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline order and inventory management processes. Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Support the customer service team by providing backend solutions for order-related inquiries. Address escalations related to shipping, refunds, and inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively. Analytics & Performance Monitoring: Track key performance metrics related to order fulfillment, inventory turnover, and shipping efficiency. Provide reports and insights to enhance backend operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall eCommerce experience. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 3+ years of experience in a similar role working with eCommerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office. - Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. - Problem-solving mindset with a strong analytical approach and ability to multitask effectively. - Comfort working with multiple groups within the business. - Knowledge of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc.) would be a plus. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
