Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Legal Associate with 2–3 years of experience in handling legal matters, compliance processes, or law enforcement coordination. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and responsible professional who wants to build deep expertise in the fast-evolving crypto and fintech regulatory space.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with national and state-level law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for handling formal requests and legal notices.
• Support accurate review and timely response to requests under applicable laws such as the IT Act, CrPC (Section 91), and IPC.
• Assist in managing internal documentation, tracking requests, and maintaining a structured database of LEA communications.
• Provide support in managing disputes, legal escalations, and user grievance redressal processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams including customer support, compliance, and technical teams to gather data and assist in legal responses.
• Draft and review legal responses, maintain standard templates, and assist in developing protocols for handling LEA interactions.
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to intermediaries, data protection, and cryptocurrency platforms.
• Help prepare reports and insights on cybercrime trends, law enforcement requests, and compliance-related developments.
• Participate in meetings or sessions with external legal stakeholders under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in internal training or awareness sessions on legal processes and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• 2–3 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate legal team, law firm, or regulatory/compliance function.
• Strong understanding of Indian judicial and legal systems, including IT Act, IPC, and CrPC.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi—both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Flexible to work in a high-paced environment and attend to urgent requests, even beyond regular working hours when necessary.
• Willingness to travel if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience dealing with law enforcement or government agencies.
• Exposure to legal operations in fintech, crypto, or technology firms.
• Understanding of the Personal Data Protection Bill and intermediary liability frameworks.
