Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with bookshops, wholesalers, schools, and libraries. Promotions & Marketing: Promote and sell books (print and digital) to buyers and institutions, increasing brand awareness. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities. Product Knowledge: Possess deep knowledge of current literary trends, new releases, and popular titles to make informed recommendations and presentations. Sales & Reporting: Meet individual and team sales targets by preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals. Events & Networking: Attend industry trade shows, events, and promotional activities to network and build customer engagement. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and publishing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Required & Preferred Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is often required, though strong sales experience can be an alternative. Experience: Previous experience in sales, publishing, or a related industry is a significant plus. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet targets. Deep passion for books and literature is highly valued.
