To meet the growing business needs and future development aspirations, we are seeking a Lead Wastewater Modeler to support our wastewater network projects and different frameworks. Your primary job responsibilities will include working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets, exceeding clients" expectations. You will be involved in various projects such as model build and verification, understanding system performance, designing system improvements, and enhancing the Wastewater Network while ensuring technical excellence and best practices. Additionally, you will develop modelled engineering solutions to address sewer flooding, unsatisfactory overflows, and mitigate the effects of development. Providing technical guidance to junior modelling staff, planning and reviewing asset and flow surveys, and driving health and safety in all project aspects are also part of your role. Communication and effective collaboration with colleagues, engineers, subcontractors, and clients are essential. You will prepare cost estimates for modelling, project design, and construction, supporting project managers to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions. A minimum of a Civil Engineering Degree or a similar relevant degree, along with 8-15 years of experience in wastewater modelling, is required. Proficiency in using GIS tools like MapInfo and ArcGIS, as well as experience with wastewater modelling software such as InfoNet and InfoWorks CS/ICM, is necessary.
