Lead Solar Technician

Role Overview: As a Solar Panel Installer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct site surveys and prepare locations for installing solar panels. You will follow blueprints and schematics to ensure correct panel placement, assemble and mount solar arrays on rooftops or other structures, and perform electrical wiring to connect panels to the electrical grid. Additionally, you will install components such as inverters, charge controllers, and batteries. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct site surveys and prepare locations for installing solar panels. - Follow blueprints and schematics for correct panel placement. - Assemble and mount solar arrays on rooftops or other structures. - Perform electrical wiring and connect panels to the electrical grid. - Install components such as inverters, charge controllers, and batteries. - Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with PV systems. - Replace faulty or defective components, including panels and wiring. - Clean solar panels to prevent a drop in efficiency. - Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment, especially at heights. - Stay up-to-date on local and national electrical codes. - Document technical parameters, activity logs, and maintenance tasks. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in solar panel installation preferred. - Knowledge of electrical wiring and components. - Familiarity with blueprints and schematics. - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
