Job Description

As a member of the Silicon Labs team, you will be working on a broad range of low-power, embedded wireless networking protocols including Zigbee and OpenThread. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Multi-protocol, OpenThread, and Zigbee low-power wireless networking products at Silicon Labs. By designing, developing, and implementing simple solutions to complex distributed communications problems, you will be a key player in driving the company's overall success. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and test core embedded wireless networking protocol stacks and SDKs focusing on IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless protocol stacks like Zigbee and OpenThread - Participate in the design, development, and integration of industry-leading Multiprotocol solutions - Provide code review feedback, collaborate with SQA teams, and develop test plans to ensure high-quality, secure software delivery - Work with Applications Engineers to understand customer applications, use cases, and issues for effective solution delivery - Triage customer and SQA issues, recreate reproducers, and perform root cause analysis while providing technical guidance and software fixes - Challenge assumptions and practices to identify opportunities for team velocity and IoT software execution improvement Skills You Will Need: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors/masters in computer science/Electronics Engineering with 5-9 years of embedded software development in resource-constrained and/or low-energy environments - Exceptional problem-solving abilities - Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems - Comprehensive knowledge of RTOS - Proven experience working with wireless microcontrollers in real-time systems - Expertise in embedded engineering projects, including developing unit, integration, and system-level tests - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Additional Qualifications (considered a plus): - Familiarity with 802.15.4 networking stacks such as Zigbee or Thread - Experience with and deep understanding of wireless stack development - Experience and understanding of CI/CD pipelines - Experience with FreeRTOS and/or Micrium - Advanced knowledge of Linux / Yocto / Zephyr - Advanced knowledge of Python - Experience with tools like GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence By joining Silicon Labs, you can look forward to benefits including Equity Rewards (RSUs), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), insurance plans with Outpatient cover, National Pension Scheme (NPS), flexible work policy, and childcare support.,
