Role Overview: Kovai.co is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing clean, well-thought-out design and code with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainability. You will contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and test case reviews, as well as understand and adapt to new technologies, tools, methods, and processes. Your role will involve influencing the team for the right design and technology implementation, providing future architectural direction, and engaging in DevOps and Agile practices. Key Responsibilities: - Write clean and high-quality code, emphasizing quality, simplicity, and maintainability - Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and test case reviews - Understand and adapt to new technologies, tools, methods, and processes - Influence the team for the right design and technology implementation - Communicate effectively and partner well with other disciplines of the project team - Engage in DevOps and Agile practices Qualifications Required: - Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET Core and Web API development - Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CosmosDB, Cassandra) - Experience with distributed caching (Redis) and unit testing frameworks - Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure - Experience in leading and guiding engineering teams - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum Master experience is a plus - Exposure to Angular, containerization, microservices architecture, and search tools like Algolia and Elastic Search Additional Details: Kovai.co is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce, fostering a culture of belonging and respect for all individuals.
