Role Overview: You will be responsible for owning and driving backend projects from conception to implementation, ensuring the delivery of highly available production systems. Your focus will be on designing and developing cloud-native microservices that are resilient, observable, and scalable. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with the team to iterate quickly and conduct A/B testing to improve product features. Additionally, you will work with petabyte-scale data, utilizing AWS-native analytics tools to drive informed product decisions. Integration of AI/ML capabilities into product workflows will be a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Own and drive backend projects end-to-end, ensuring the delivery of highly available production systems - Design and build cloud-native microservices that are resilient, observable, and horizontally scalable - Collaborate in a high-velocity environment, participating in short iteration cycles and frequent A/B testing - Work with petabyte-scale data, utilizing Redshift and other AWS-native analytics tools - Integrate AI/ML capabilities into product workflows for enhanced user experiences - Collaborate with a team of engineers, contributing to code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions Qualifications Required: - 5 to 8 years of backend engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping production systems at scale - Proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems design - Experience in building event-driven, distributed systems using technologies such as Kafka, Redis, and message brokers - Proficiency in relational databases like MySQL, including hands-on experience with schema design and optimization - Deep experience in managing infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc. - Bonus: Experience in integrating with LLMs, vector databases, or building ML pipelines (Note: Company details were not provided in the job description) Role Overview: You will be responsible for owning and driving backend projects from conception to implementation, ensuring the delivery of highly available production systems.
