As a Lead Software Engineer AI Cloud Applications at Epiq's Legal Solutions organization, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative, cloud-native, AI-driven products for Fortune-500 customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Hands-on product development: Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade products. You will primarily focus on coding, develop software development plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. - Cloud management: Utilize tools and services of hyperscale cloud providers to ensure scalability. You will manage the cloud production environment to balance observability, performance, and cost effectively. - Applied AI implementation: Select and operationalize foundation and ML models, optimize prompts, train and fine-tune models, and evaluate performance. Additionally, you will architect, build, and operate agentic systems. - Data handling: Clean, label, and manage training data, knowledge bases, and target responses. Collaborate with domain experts to capture tacit knowledge and generate synthetic data. - Innovation and Strategy: Rapidly build prototypes and MVPs for product ideas using low-code toolkits. Lead discussions on technical strategy and architecture. - Applied research and collaboration: Stay updated with AI trends and technologies, apply them to solve real-world problems, and collaborate with various stakeholders to shape requirements and roadmap. Qualifications required for this role: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience as a software engineer, AI/ML engineer, or similar role. - Cloud expertise: Hands-on experience with building and operating SaaS applications on hyperscale cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. - AI/ML/Data Science skills: Proficiency in Python, experience with AI and data science frameworks/libraries, understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles, AI, machine learning, NLP, neural networks, and data management. - Development knowledge: Familiarity with Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, containerization, RESTful APIs, and MLOps tools.
