Lead, Quality Assurance

As a Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance at MeasureOne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our developer-first API platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automation-first functional tests that cover real-world, user-driven scenarios. Your focus will be on writing robust, maintainable scripts across UI, APIs, and workflows to eliminate manual test repetition. Your primary objective will be to own end-to-end test coverage for product features from discovery to release. By collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will define and test user outcomes rather than just inputs and outputs. You will continuously enhance our testing strategy, coverage, and CI/CD integration to deliver a high-quality product to our customers. To succeed in this role, you must have at least 7 years of experience in QA or testing roles with a strong background in functional testing and automation. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java is essential. You should also possess a deep understanding of API testing and be familiar with tools like Postman and REST-assured. Your ability to break systems through exploratory testing and translate insights into automated safeguards will be crucial. You must write test code that is modular, maintainable, and follows the DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principle. Experience in abstracting fixtures, test data, and assertions for reuse across test cases is highly valued. Moreover, you should be adept at understanding and translating API contracts (such as Swagger/OpenAPI) into reliable automation scripts. Experience in owning quality gates in CI/CD workflows using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins is necessary. A clear and concise communication style is essential for reporting bugs and collaborating effectively across teams. While not mandatory, experience working in early-stage product environments or startups, as well as familiarity with security, performance, or accessibility testing, would be advantageous.
