Description
Design, configure, and implement CheckPoint and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure strong network security and compliance with corporate standards. Perform regular firewall rule base audits to ensure efficient and secure network traffic management. Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues in a timely manner, minimizing system downtime. Implement security policies and access controls using CheckPoint and Palo Alto security platforms. Monitor firewall traffic and analyze logs to identify security threats or incidents. Provide proactive monitoring of firewall systems, reviewing security s, logs, and reports for suspicious activities or breaches. Troubleshoot and resolve security incidents, including network breaches, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access. Assist in incident response planning and coordination, ensuring that firewall-related incidents are handled efficiently. Perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments using firewall tools and other security technologies. Configure and optimize firewall features, such as VPNs, NAT, IPSec, SSL, and IDS/IPS systems, to provide a secure network environment. Implement and manage secure remote access configurations, ensuring proper network segmentation and security policies. Optimize firewall performance to meet the scalability and availability requirements of the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network infrastructures based on CheckPoint and Palo Alto technologies. Provide guidance on network segmentation and traffic filtering strategies to improve security posture and operational efficiency. Work with network teams to ensure proper integration of firewall solutions with the broader network infrastructure. Extensive hands-on experience with CheckPoint and Palo Alto firewalls. Strong knowledge of VPN configurations (IPSec, SSL), NAT, IDS/IPS, and Security Policies. Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc. ) and routing concepts. Proficiency in firewall rule set management, traffic analysis, and incident troubleshooting. Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for analyzing firewall logs and security events. Familiarity with cloud-based firewall management and secure network design (Azure, AWS, etc. ). Proficient in Linux/Unix or Windows Server administration for firewall management and troubleshooting.
