Description
The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He/she will be responsible for ensuring operational support (security, health and performance) of the MSSQL databases and must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. Understanding the requirement from each Customers and setting up the database environment as per the given design. Database Project Activities like - MSSQL Database Installation, Build, Instance Creation, Database Object Creations Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Independently Analyse/Troubleshoot issues which includes the Batch Job failures, DB connectivity/access errors and co-ordinate with other support teams for resolution. Setup of the various DB Monitoring Tools/Front End Databases & provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes (process/technical) Identify areas of improvement and implement those ideas. Ensure that knowledge is shared with peers for all new implementations. Act as SPOC for projects to share updates, be available for meetings understanding the requirements in details and support the team if required for new projects. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
