Job Description

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services using Kotlin or Java. Your responsibilities will include building and optimizing APIs (both RESTful and GraphQL), architecting systems using Spring Boot or Micronaut, and leveraging AWS services for cloud-native application development. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product, DevOps, and Frontend Engineers will be essential, following Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver features incrementally and iteratively. Ensuring code quality and reliability through automated testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices will be a key focus area. Additionally, mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps will be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 9 years of professional backend development experience, with a strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java. Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and/or Micronaut, along with proven experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, is required. Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially infrastructure-as-code tools like CDK, SAM, or CloudFormation, is preferred. A solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture is essential, as well as experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD and DevOps culture.
