Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Java Backend Developer with over 6 years of hands-on experience, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend solutions. Your expertise in Spring Boot (Reactive), microservices architecture, and event-driven systems using Kafka will be crucial in this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features while ensuring high-quality code through unit, integration, and functional testing. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot (Reactive) - Build and maintain microservices and integrate them via Kafka for asynchronous communication - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features - Implement unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure high-quality code - Follow Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber for automated acceptance testing - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies - Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows - Ensure best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and security Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of professional experience in backend development - Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (Reactive) - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs - Hands-on experience with Kafka (event streaming platforms) - Proficiency in GitLab (including CI/CD pipeline setup and management) - Strong testing mindset: Unit testing, Functional testing - Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber - Familiarity with agile development methodologies Additional Details: The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with expertise in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions.
