Job Description

As a Senior QA Analyst at UST supporting a leading financial services client in the U.S., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of both UI and API layers through test automation. You will utilize your strong problem-solving skills and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze product requirements, create test plans, develop test cases, and maintain automated test frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include performing various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, UAT, and Go-Live testing. You will work closely with development, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will review test artifacts created by peers, mentor junior QA analysts, and coordinate testing activities within the team. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, or JUnit for both UI and API layers. You should have strong knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and XML data formats for web services testing. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git, as well as defect tracking tools like JIRA, is essential. Furthermore, you should possess solid SQL scripting skills for database testing using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. In addition to technical skills, you should have a good understanding of Agile/Scrum/XP methodologies and SDLC processes. Experience in test planning, test case development, test strategy, and automation framework design will be beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. While not mandatory, experience with BDD/TDD practices, performance testing tools like LoadRunner, and knowledge of usability and exploratory testing approaches are considered good-to-have skills. Exposure to Unix/Linux environments and experience in the Financial Services domain will also be advantageous. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with 5-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
