Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working as a Data Analyst with a strong background in banking, regulatory reporting, and financial services. Your main responsibilities will include analyzing complex business requirements, ensuring data quality, and providing solutions that align with organizational goals. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional system design documents. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and translate complex business requirements into functional system design documents. - Perform technology and system analysis to ensure business needs are met within SVB standards. - Conduct data mapping, data quality checks, and data profiling to ensure accuracy and consistency. - Develop insights and reports for regulatory and compliance reporting within financial services. - Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Configure systems, develop expertise in system functionality and design, and provide guidance in data-related projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine data requirements and resolve production incidents efficiently. - Stay updated on future technology and system trends to align with business needs. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields. - 5+ years of experience in banking and regulatory reporting domains. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline. - Strong expertise in data mapping, data quality, data governance, and data warehousing. - Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and reporting. - Hands-on experience with systems integration using API/Microservices/web services, ETL. - Experience with SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) is required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions. Additional Details: - Good to have skills include knowledge of Big Data technologies (Snowflake, etc.), familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.), and exposure to AI/ML concepts and tools for data-driven insights.
