Lead - Hardware Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for detailed design of various hardware sub-systems, including analog, digital, power, and mixed signal circuits. Your role will involve identifying electronics components, studying component datasheets, working with vendors for procurement, compiling bill-of-materials (BOM), and ensuring the successful realization of hardware sub-systems. Key Responsibilities: - Designing various hardware sub-systems by detailed study of analog, digital, power, and mixed signal circuits - Identifying appropriate electronics components for the hardware sub-systems - Studying component datasheets and technical design notes to create circuit schematics - Collaborating with vendors for prototyping samples and procurement for pilot runs - Compiling and finalizing bill-of-materials (BOM) for different sub-systems - Working with PCB designers to create PCB layouts for the sub-systems - Implementing recommended practices in PCB/sub-system design for optimal performance - Conducting board bring-up for individual sub-systems and integrated system-level testing - Ensuring compliance with EMC standards through pre-design and post-design strategies - Collaborating with software and mechanical teams to build proof-of-concept (POC) and prototypes Qualifications Required: - Ability to understand analog/digital component datasheets and evaluate their fitment in sub-systems - Hands-on experience with measurement and testing tools like oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, and power quality analyzer - Knowledge of sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and driver integration - Understanding of component thermal characteristics, derating, and heat sink sizing - Experience in liaising with external labs for EMC and IEC testing - Familiarity with PLM applications for document lifecycle management - Proficiency in PCB design software applications - Knowledge of PCB board assembly and soldering processes (Note: No additional details of the company were mentioned in the Job Description),
