Job Description

Role Overview: As a Lead - Go/Java with 5-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. Your role will involve writing clean, scalable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. You should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, backend development, and modern software engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Own the technical direction to ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions while guiding and mentoring team members. - Design, code, debug, unit test, and document large, complex software applications. - Collaborate on technical implementation, assist other developers and consultants in implementation and development. - Demonstrate the capability to assimilate new skills and use new technologies effectively. - Take ownership of complex, ambiguous problems and drive end-to-end solutions. - Make architectural and design decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability. - Mentor and support junior team members through code reviews and guidance. - Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical planning. - Proactively identify technical risks and propose improvements across the codebase or processes. - Ensure exceptional productivity and attention to product quality issues. - Be accountable to deliver tasks to agreed standards. - Adhere to development standards and architectural guidelines set by the Solution Design team. - Develop all technical aspects of eCommerce stores, from commerce to content and all integration with external systems. - Independently monitor and appraise emerging trends and technologies in software engineering and make recommendations or undertake independent research to validate new ideas. - Act as the key trouble-shooter in complex/escalated incidents. - Provide innovative ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment with up-to-date knowledge regarding existing technologies.
