Lead Flight Test Engineer

As a Lead Flight Test Engineer (LFTE) at Airbus India Private Limited, you will be responsible for conducting production flight tests on new helicopters. Your role involves working closely with the flight crew and utilizing flight test tools to ensure the safety and quality of the aircraft. Your critical actions during flight tests play a crucial role in identifying and resolving issues to meet certification standards. Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating activities with various departments and continuously improving flight, safety, and quality regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Act as part of the flight crew to conduct production flight test activities on new helicopters - Perform ground test activities to ensure permit to fly - Conduct flight test activities in accordance with regulations, including verification/validation and establishment of necessary certification documents - Operate flight test tools, conduct real-time data analysis, and post-process flight test data - Coordinate activities with Engineering, Flight Line, and Quality Assurance - Ensure onboarding and standardization for ground test activities on the flight line - Continuously improve and update flight, safety, and quality regulations - Coordinate and track changes in local flight regulations and finalize corrective actions if necessary - Adapt and create flight test instructions - Conduct engineering test flights and provide written flight test reports - Travel for training and flight test campaigns may be required within and outside India Qualifications: - Final degree in aerospace technology or similar (Bachelor/MSc or equivalent) - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Professional experience in engineering - Medical Class 2 required - Advanced software skills, e.g., proficiency in MS Office - Preferably finalized training as a flight test engineer class 2 Rotary Wing or experienced Test Flight Engineer (MNE) - Advanced knowledge of English and preferably French - Radio license in English - Private Pilot License (A) or (H) - High level of flexibility and mobility, worldwide travels, possibly at short notice This job requires an awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
