Job Description

Role Overview: You will play a crucial role at Jacobs by independently leading plant design activities, coordinating with multi-discipline designers, and performing I&C design work across various engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities will include participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations, as well as assisting in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects. Additionally, you will develop designer effort-hour estimates for the I&C discipline and display strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Your tasks will involve sizing and specifying instruments, developing control system architecture, designing panels for control systems, producing standard installation details, updating P&IDs with controls content, producing control system philosophy, instrument lists, and cable schedules, reviewing submittals, and carrying out site surveys and design verification. Key Responsibilities: - Independently lead plant design activities and coordinate with multi-discipline designers. - Perform I&C design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems. - Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations. - Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects. - Develop designer effort-hour estimates for I&C discipline. - Size and specify instruments, produce datasheets, and develop control system architecture. - Design panels for control systems and develop standard installation details. - Update P&IDs with controls content and produce instrument lists and cable schedules. - Review submittals and carry out site surveys and design verification. Qualifications Required: - Degree in I&C Engineering (Required) - Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design of I&C systems (Required) - Experience in the application of IEC and applicable local building/specialty codes (Required) - Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken (Required) - Extensive experience in the design of semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing facilities (Preferred) - Experience in semiconductor Tool Install and Data Centre Design (Preferred) - Knowledge of ATEX requirements (Preferred) Company Details: At Jacobs, the focus is on reinventing tomorrow by addressing the world's most critical problems.
