Lead Embedded Engineer XR Research

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Systems Lead Engineer to join the XR Research team and drive the development of next-generation technologies for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) use cases. As a Systems Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for building and testing prototype devices with a focus on different perception technologies. This role requires a strong background in embedded product development, including experience in low-level device driver development, hardware/software interfaces, and sensor drivers. Key responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders to define device requirements, bringing up new camera and IMU sensors drivers, and collaborating with various teams to build reference/prototype devices. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in C++ Programming Language and embedded device development. Candidates should have a solid understanding of embedded hardware and driver concepts, as well as excellent communication skills. The ability to work well in a team with minimal supervision is essential due to the dynamic nature of the fast-paced environment. Additionally, a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies are preferred qualifications.
