LEAD DESIGN - MECHANICAL & PIPING (WET IC)

As a Lead Manager Mechanical with expertise in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plants, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Leading and mentoring a team of Mechanical Engineers - Overseeing the design development of Mechanical components in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment projects - Planning engineering deliverables, execution, resource planning, and allocation - Collaborating with other disciplines for the proper integration of mechanical systems - Reviewing and validating design deliverables - Driving continuous improvement in team productivity and skill set You should have hands-on experience in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plants, Transmission & distribution pipeline projects in the Middle East and Africa region. Your core responsibility will be to lead a team of mechanical engineers in liaising with consultants and clients for the approval of engineering deliverables and material submittals. Additionally, you should have experience in working with international vendors for evaluating and selecting various mechanical equipment. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum B.Tech (Mechanical) with 12-15 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role - Advanced knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles, best practices, and international codes such as ASME, BS EN, ISO, QCS, NWC, etc. - Proficiency in Plant engineering for preparing plant layout, GA drawing, Piping layout, Pipeline drawings, etc. - Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and transient analysis using software like WaterGEMS, WaterHammer, SAP, etc. - Hands-on experience in reviewing Hydraulics, transient analysis reports, Stress analysis reports (CAESAR II), etc. - Participation in various workshops like HAZOP with clients and consultants - Proficiency in Vendor engineering by reviewing vendor offers, technical comparisons, making recommendations to the Procurement team for mechanical equipment, and detailed review of post-order documents - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to mentor and develop team members - Innovative mindset for design optimization and continuous improvement Preferred industry experience for this role includes Water & Effluent treatment, Oil & Gas industries, among others.,
