Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake)

As a Lead Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake, your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines using Snowflake and ELT/ETL tools. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions to ensure high performance and scalability. Your expertise will be crucial in designing efficient database schemas and data models to cater to business requirements. Additionally, you will be writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting, while also developing data transformation scripts using Python, C#, or Java to automate processes. Ensuring data integrity, security, and governance throughout the data lifecycle will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be expected to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues at different levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake and ELT/ETL tools. - Architect, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions with a focus on performance and scalability. - Create efficient database schemas and data models to meet business needs. - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting. - Develop data transformation scripts using Python, C#, or Java for process automation. - Ensure data integrity, security, and governance at all stages of the data lifecycle. - Analyze and resolve data-related issues at tactical, functional, and strategic levels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions. Qualifications (Must Have): - Strong experience with Snowflake. - Deep understanding of transactional databases, OLAP, and data warehousing concepts. - Proficiency in designing database schemas and data models. - Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. In addition to the required qualifications, it would be beneficial to have: - Snowpro Core or Snowpro Advanced certificate. - Experience in cost/performance optimization. - Client-facing experience with a good understanding of business needs. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
