Lead Civil Site Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Site Supervision: * Monitor day-to-day site activities and ensure all construction is in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. * Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site workers to ensure timely project execution. 2. Quality Control: * Ensure materials and workmanship comply with design specifications and industry standards. * Conduct regular inspections and report non-compliance. 3. Progress Monitoring: * Track work progress and prepare daily/weekly reports. * Communicate any delays or issues to the project manager. 4. Coordination: * Work with architects, consultants, and other engineering staff to resolve technical issues. * Assist in planning and sequencing of construction operations. 5. Documentation & Reporting: * Maintain site records, including work logs, material usage, labor deployment, and inspection reports. * Assist in preparing site measurements and billing documents. 6. Safety Compliance: * Ensure safety protocols are followed by all personnel on site. * Report accidents, unsafe practices, or hazards to management immediately. Preferred candidate profile Education: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution. Experience: * 28 years of experience in on-site civil construction work (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects). Skills: * Strong understanding of civil drawings, structural details, and BOQ interpretation. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (especially Excel and Word). * Familiar with construction safety standards and site management tools. Soft Skills: * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Other Requirements: * Willingness to work at construction sites (including remote project locations, if required). * Basic understanding of local building codes and environmental regulations. * Fluency in local language(s) is a plus.
