Qualification: ITI (Fitter / Turner / Machinist or equivalent trade)

Experience Required: 4–5 Years

Industry: Not specific (experience in general machining or fabrication preferred)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machine Operator to handle precision machining operations and ensure quality production of turned components as per drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in operating conventional lathe machines and performing various turning operations independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain conventional lathe machines.
• Perform turning, threading, step cutting, boring, and internal threading operations on different job materials.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and machining symbols.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various machining tasks.
• Measure and inspect finished jobs using Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety standards during operation.
• Report any machine defects or deviations in quality to the supervisor.
• Maintain records of daily production and job completion status.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of machining processes and tool usage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of measurement instruments and tolerances.
• Awareness of workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
