PHP/Laravel Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated PHP/Laravel Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is focused on building and enhancing scalable, high-performance web applications, primarily in the e-commerce and SaaS domains. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop custom features, integrate APIs, and deliver robust backend systems that support seamless digital experiences.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and web applications using PHP and Laravel.
  
• Build scalable and secure APIs for SaaS platforms and third-party integrations.
  
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across environments.
  
• Manage database architecture, migrations, and complex queries (MySQL/MongoDB).
  
• Work on version control using Git and participate in code reviews.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them where appropriate.
  

Qualifications and Skill

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 2 to 5 years of experience in PHP development with strong expertise in Laravel.
  

Hard Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP (7.4+) and Laravel (8.x or newer).
  
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful API development.
  
• Experience in e-commerce platforms or projects (custom carts, checkout flows, order management).
  
• Experience in SaaS application development (multi-tenant systems, subscription management, licensing).
  
• Strong database skills in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization.
  
• Familiarity with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay).
  
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and frameworks (Vue.js or React preferred).
  
• Experience with Git, Composer, Artisan CLI, and Blade templating.
  
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization tools (e.g., Docker) is a plus.

• Experience with automated testing tools such as PHPUnit, Laravel Dusk, or Pest.
  
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
