Job Description – Manager (Contracts & Procurement) Location: Mumbai Department: Design, Development & Construction Reporting to: Head – Contracts & Procurement Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Contracts & Procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement, contract administration, vendor development, and cost optimization for civil and interior works. This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive efficiency while ensuring quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Draft, float, and manage tenders; evaluate bids (technical & commercial), negotiate, and finalize contracts for civil/interior packages. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships; act as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters. Maintain accurate records of all contracts, correspondence, and documentation. Oversee contract administration including expediting, escalation, change management, extensions, renewals, and closures. Ensure contracts are awarded within approved budgets, timelines, and quality/safety standards. Track and monitor contract obligations for both internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance. Support project managers and teams on contractual and project control issues. Drive value engineering initiatives for materials and construction methodologies to optimize costs. Identify, pre-qualify, and develop vendors in line with company expansion plans. Continuously improve procurement processes to reduce cycle times and enhance operational efficiency. Regularly update and maintain databases and systems (SAP PS & MM modules) with accurate project and contract information. Skills & Competencies Strong experience in civil/interior contracts and procurement of construction materials . Excellent knowledge of contractual and legal terms . Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ; experience in SAP PS & MM modules preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle negotiations, vendor management, and contract administration independently. Analytical mindset with a focus on cost, timelines, and operational excellence. Qualifications & Experience Education: BE (Civil); NICMAR qualification preferred. Experience: 10–12 years, preferably in real estate, commercial, or retail projects . Industry Background: Real estate developers (commercial/retail focus preferred).
