Lab Technician - Histopathology

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and register tissue specimens and maintain proper documentation.
• Perform tissue fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining (H&E and special stains).
• Prepare slides for microscopic examination by the pathologist.
• Handle and maintain histopathology equipment such as microtomes, tissue processors, and embedding centers.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples according to safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and reagents for histopathology.
• Follow laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all samples processed.
• Assist the pathologist in grossing and frozen section procedures when required.
• Adhere to biosafety and infection control standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• DMLT / BSc MLT (Diploma or Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology).
• Minimum 0–3 years of experience in a histopathology laboratory.
• Knowledge of tissue processing, microtomy, and staining techniques.
• Familiarity with NABL / ISO lab quality standards preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
