Lab Technician

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform routine tests such as pH, viscosity, density, moisture, titration, particle size analysis, etc.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as

  Spectrophotometer, Viscometer, pH Meter, Moisture Analyzer, GC, HPLC, AAS

  (as applicable).
• Prepare standard solutions, reagents, and calibration materials.

B. Quality Assurance & Documentation

• Record test results in Lab Register / LIMS accurately and on time.
• Prepare COA (Certificate of Analysis) for finished products.
• Maintain calibration logs, equipment records, and testing sheets.
• Support QA team in audits (ISO, internal audits, customer audits).

C. Process Support

• Monitor in-process quality parameters and communicate non-conformance to supervisors.
• Assist production team with troubleshooting quality issues.
• Ensure proper sampling procedures from plant and storage tanks.

D. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all lab safety guidelines, PPE usage, and chemical handling protocols.
• Ensure waste disposal as per environmental and safety regulations.
• Support implementation of SOPs, GLP, and ISO standards.

3. Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Sc. in

  Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Industrial Chemistry, or related field

  .

Experience

• Minimum 3 years

  of experience in a chemical / dye-intermediate/ ceramic / specialty chemical laboratory.

4. Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of basic wet chemistry and analytical techniques.
• Ability to operate lab instruments and handle chemicals safely.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in test results.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfortable working in plant-based laboratory environments.

5. Working Conditions

• Work performed in a laboratory inside the chemical plant.
• Exposure to chemicals; PPE will be mandatory.
