Lab Specialist

As a Lab Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, your role will involve performing routine technical laboratory experiments and procedures, documenting results, and maintaining records/logs. You will make observations, calculations, and prepare data for analysis. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting defects in laboratory equipment, managing inventory, budget, and general operations. You will establish good laboratory practices and procedures in consultation with management, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies" guidelines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Set up, calibrate, maintain, and sterilize laboratory equipment, as well as maintain a masterlist for all BEC Dx instruments. - Record all experimental data and test results in the required electronic templates and formats. - Handle samples, testing, and maintain the BEC Dx instruments. The essential requirements of the job include: - A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field, such as Engineering, Biomedical, or Medical Laboratory Technology. - 3+ years of experience managing lab operations for R&D projects. - Proven experience in a diagnostic or IVD laboratory setting, or relevant specialized labs. - Experience in operating diverse electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment and safely handling potentially dangerous substances, including biohazards and chemicals. Additionally, it would be a plus if you possess previous experience in: - Medical devices, IVD instrumentation such as clinical chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, urinalysis, molecular microbiology, or flow cytometry systems. - Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA Class II).
