La Loca Maria LLP Mumbai About Us La Loca Maria LLP is the parent company of two acclaimed hospitality brands La Loca Maria, known for its Spanish cuisine located in Bandra West, and La Panthera, a stylish European-inspired restaurant located in BKC both helmed by Chef Manuel Oliveira. We are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences, supported by a strong, motivated team of about 120 people. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Executive to oversee HR operations across both restaurants. Role Overview The HR Executive will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, compliance with labour regulations, and the cultivation of a positive workplace culture. This role requires hands-on involvement in recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, performance management, and employee engagement for both restaurant teams. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Staffing - Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all departments (kitchen, service, bar, administration, etc.). - Manage the end-to-end hiring process: job postings, shortlisting, scheduling and conducting interviews, reference checks, and final selections. - Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and maintain optimal manpower levels. - Manage seasonal hiring and succession planning. Onboarding & Documentation - Oversee smooth onboarding for all new employees, including orientation, training schedules, and documentation. - Ensure that all employment contracts, statutory forms, and ID proofs are properly collected and filed. - Maintain up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policy and labour laws. Payroll & Compensation - Oversee monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, attendance, and deductions. - Handle statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, gratuity, and professional tax. - Manage salary structures, revisions, and increments in coordination with management. Attendance & Time Management - Monitor daily attendance, leave records, and shift schedules for both locations. - Implement and maintain attendance systems (biometric / digital). - Manage leave policies and approvals while ensuring adequate staffing at all times. Training & Development - Identify training needs across departments and coordinate regular training sessions (e.g., soft skills, service standards, compliance, safety). - Support department heads in developing growth and career development plans for employees. Employee Relations & Engagement - Foster a positive, professional, and motivating work environment. - Address employee grievances promptly and fairly, ensuring proper documentation. - Organize employee engagement activities and celebrations to boost morale and retention. - Ensure proper disciplinary procedures are followed when required. Compliance & HR Policies - Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and statutory requirements. - Develop, implement, and periodically update HR policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct. - Handle audits, inspections, and statutory submissions. Performance Management - Assist in designing and implementing performance appraisal systems. - Coordinate periodic reviews with department heads and support performance improvement plans where needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree (HR / Business Administration preferred). - 24 years of HR experience, ideally in the hospitality or F&B sector. - Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance in India. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, people-driven environment. - Proficiency with HR software, attendance systems, and Excel.
