L3 Senior System Administrator - Virtualization

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator L3 to become a valuable member of our dynamic IT team at G Telecom - Australia. This role presents an excellent opportunity for seasoned professionals to oversee and enhance IT systems, ensuring smooth and reliable operations. Your responsibilities will include the management of Linux operating systems, involving the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various distributions such as CentOS, RHEL, and Ubuntu. Proficiency in managing virtualization technologies like KVM, Hyper-V, and VMware is essential. Additionally, expertise in disk and filesystem management, encompassing LVM, RAID types, file system configurations, and troubleshooting, is required. You will be expected to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Linux networking, including IPTables and CSF firewalls, as well as experience with Apache/Nginx web servers and MySQL/MariaDB database management. Familiarity with control panels such as cPanel and Plesk, and proficiency in managing hosting environments for multiple domains is also important. A deep understanding of DNS servers, DNS records, and domain management will be necessary for effective troubleshooting. Desired skills and experience include optional knowledge of Windows Server OS (2008/2012/2016/2019), IIS, Active Directory, and Windows Firewall. Expertise in Tier I and Tier 2 support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, system optimization, and in-depth troubleshooting of complex IT system problems will be valuable assets. Qualifications for this role include a minimum of 12-15 years of solid experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux-based systems, a good understanding of server hardware, software integration, and system architecture, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.
