L3 Network Engineer - SDWAN

As an L3 SD-WAN Engineer specializing in Viptela, you will play a crucial role within our network engineering team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the complete lifecycle of Viptela SD-WAN deployments, starting from design and implementation to advanced troubleshooting and ongoing management. Your expertise in Viptela architecture, Layer 2/3 technologies, and routing protocols, along with your troubleshooting skills, will be vital for success in this remote position. Key Responsibilities: - Showcase a deep understanding of Viptela SD-WAN architecture, components (vManage, vSmart, vEdge), and design principles. - Design scalable and secure SD-WAN solutions based on Viptela technology to fulfill specific customer requirements. - Hands-on experience with Viptela vManager, involving configuration, monitoring, and managing the SD-WAN fabric. - Utilize vManager for policy creation, device onboarding, and overall SD-WAN orchestration. - Take charge of designing, implementing, configuring, and managing Viptela SD-WAN appliances and solutions. - Supervise the deployment and integration of vEdges in diverse network environments. - Proficient in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies such as VLANs, vPC, and network segmentation in the context of SD-WAN deployments. - Thorough understanding of BGP and OSPF routing protocols and their application within SD-WAN environments. - Configure and troubleshoot routing policies and neighbor relationships in Viptela SD-WAN. - Demonstrate advanced Level 3 troubleshooting skills for complex network issues within Viptela SD-WAN environments. - Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders for successful SD-WAN deployments and ongoing support. - Clear communication of technical concepts in written and verbal forms. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SD-WAN designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. - Implement industry best practices and security guidelines for SD-WAN deployments. Preferred Certifications: - Viptela Certified SD-WAN Associate (VNX100) - Viptela Certified Administrator SD-WAN Specialist (VNX300) - CCNP or CCIE or equivalent industry certifications. Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in network engineering with a significant focus on SD-WAN and hands-on experience with Viptela technology.
