The global Information Technology (IT) Function at Corning is spearheading efforts to align IT with Business Strategy, maximize IT investments, and enhance end-to-end business processes along with associated information integration technologies. Through these endeavors, IT plays a crucial role in enhancing the competitive standing of Corning's businesses via IT-enabled processes. IT also provides Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services globally in a cost-effective manner. **Responsibilities:** - Physically install and connect firewalls and other security appliances. - Update appliances with the latest vendor-approved stable firmware. - Monitor firewalls for issues, document findings, conduct root cause analysis, and prepare reports. - Establish virtual firewalls with appropriate configurations and policies. - Configure remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN functionalities. - Set up firewall interfaces, network configurations, access control lists, policies, routing, remote access (VPN), and next-generation firewall feature sets following best practices. - Integrate firewalls with Camstar and other custom MES systems. - Integrate firewalls with Ivanti Pulse Secure and other Juniper products as needed. - Provide support for out-of-band connectivity devices and log collectors. - Configure SIEM Integration. - Develop and manage firewall rulesets. - Perform advanced troubleshooting on a range of Juniper SRX and Palo Alto products. - Gather, analyze, and make change recommendations based on configuration information to streamline support and minimize impact on manufacturing operations. - Analyze packet trace information and suggest corrective actions. - Consult technical documentation, bulletins, and release notes for known issues. - Follow up on technical cases, escalate when necessary, and manage cases through to closure. - Maintain customer communications and manage expectations till case closure, including vendor escalations, device RMA, and coordination support. - Create and update standard operating procedures. - Willingness to work after hours and/or participate in an on-call rotation. **Ideal Candidate:** - A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. - One year of experience in Manufacturing or Operational Technology. - For a senior role: MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience with Juniper and Palo Alto, including Juniper SPACE/Security Director, Junos SPACE Essentials, Junos SPACE Security Director, Ivanti/Pulse PPS, License Manager, and Client Pulse Policy Secure. PCNSE certification. - Experience in a technical support role in a networking/security company or equivalent education. - Sound understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches. - Familiarity with security products such as firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti-Spam, virus scanning. - Extensive knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux.,
