As a member of the L2 Application Support team within the Capital Markets Foreign Exchange Division at LSEG, you will play a crucial role in handling production support activities for all applications in the CMFX bucket. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with teams across different locations such as the UK, US, Sri Lanka, and Singapore to ensure the near 100% availability of applications. Working as part of the IT Capital Markets FX Support Team, you will be actively involved in addressing user support issues, conducting problem analysis, and implementing bug fixes through in-depth analysis of key applications. Your role will require you to act as the point of contact and escalation during the recovery of major incidents, providing technical or domain expertise as necessary. You will be responsible for handling major incidents by defining and executing tasks, planning and driving breakfix changes/recovery actions, assessing impact, and monitoring progress to ensure timely escalation. Additionally, you will contribute to the problem management process, follow ITSM processes to maintain SLA and SLO, and facilitate decision-making processes for immediate change requests to systems while considering potential impacts on production systems. Furthermore, you will be involved in providing application configuration and maintenance, proposing application systems changes and enhancements, supporting existing business users, investigating and resolving application errors and data discrepancies, and defining acceptance tests for new or modified automated systems. Continuous development of relevant domain knowledge related to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, and configurations will be essential for this role. Moreover, you will be expected to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, integrate automated testing suites and security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines, implement deployment strategies to minimize downtime and risk, configure monitoring and alerting solutions, and respond promptly to incidents by conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, as well as experience in scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, or Python.
