Technical Superintendent Mumbai 7 - 14 years INR 12.0 - 16.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections, and docking, etc. Ensure the assigned vessels are technically operational or otherwise managed accordingly to the management agreement requirement. Liaise with vendors and operation/marketing teams on technical and operational readiness. including vessel performance, etc. Perform the assessment for dry-docking, repair quotes and selection of shipyards for repair works, ship maintenance and class special survey etc. Prepare in advance and submit the budgetary costs of dry-docking repairs or class special survey to the seniors and management for approval. Attend to vessel dry-docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance. Provide and compile post-evaluation reports and upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures. Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure the rates provides the best value. Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class cert and survey. Monitor scheduled Planned Maintenance are completed effectively. Ensure that all copies of statutory, class and equipment certificates are properly maintained and documented. Provide technical assistance, support and advice to vessel. Perform monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections. Supervise contractors' repair/maintenance of vessels. Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares and docking requirements. Perform technical compliance audits and investigation on defects/failures on a regular scheduled basis to ensure conformance. Work closely with the HSE Management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of QHSE system and policies for the Division. Perform systematic review of recommended codes, guidelines and standards and ensure compliance with Quality Safety Management standards. Ensure and maintain vessels' zero loss time accident record and to report all vessel incidents, Near Misses to prevent and eliminate potential incidents. Reports to Technical Fleet Management Department and matrix report to Business Unit Manager. Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required. Requirements Must have sailed on board offshore vessels as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer or equivalent working experiences. Class 1 or Class 2 COC, D.P. Maintenance Certificate, High Voltage Certificate. Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer with minimum class 2 certification or equivalent with in experience in Offshore Supply Vessels, etc. Ability to identify root cause of technical issue, plan and execute recovery actions. Ability to motivate and build strong relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. Possess good organizational and communication skills and hands-on. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Analytical and highly proactive in technical trouble shooting and problem solving. Able to conduct effective stand-up training for vessel crews' ability to travel within short notice as required.

Manager, Operations (Breakbulk & Project Cargo) Mumbai 6 - 10 years INR 9.0 - 13.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maritime operations, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity. Coordinating agency appointments, reviewing the PDAs and FDAs. Communicating with charterers, brokers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders, vessel itineraries etc. To plan / prepare / circulate loading discharging operations and coordinating with various parties like Master, attending port catains, stevedores, agents and other related parties for efficient turn around in ports. Monitoring vessel movements and performances. Reviewing and preparing cargo stowage plans to optimize cargo liftings for bulk/breakbulk or project cargo, able to make stowage plan, lashing/bedding plan, lashing calculation and other cargo documents. Monitoring hold cleaning plans; including supply of chemicals and supervisors. Proper planning bunker supplies and co-ordination with bunker suppliers. Good experience for handling claims, liaising with the PI clubs, legal teams to resolve disputes/ arbitration. To attend vessel and supervise the cargo operation whenever critical shipments going to be loaded to vessel. To source and purchase materials required for cargo operation. Perform cost control procedures for the voyage expenses and verify bills received from agent and vendors. Supporting Chartering team for fixing of potential shipments, and checking/confirm suitability for the vessels going to chart-in. Supporting chartering team for max cargo uplift, stowage plan, port information inquiries for prospective vessels employment. Guide postfix team to calculate voyage laytime, chart-hire and freight are correctly calculated and verify all invoices are correct before send to account department to settle. Coordinating operations strategies and activities to ensure operational efficiency and meeting objectives effectively. Effectively manager, motivate team members and performance assessment. To capture weakness of the current procedures/practices/ process, summarize with solution for top management approval and improve the same. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related field. Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in shipping operations for bulk, breakbulk, parcelling and project cargo. Master Mariner with shore job experience in operations for bulk, breakbulk, parcelling and project or sailing experience in similar shipping trade is preferred. Prefer to have fruitful experience of loading Windmill components, project cargo and general cargoes. Prefer able to use CAD, FEMAP or other similar software for stowage plan.

Conduct hull structure strength assessment and analysis, propose method to strengthen the structure, including load spreading and securing of project cargo. Prepare analysis report, structure plan, lashing calculation, stowage plan, securing plan, dunnage plan, heavy lifting plan for project cargo to owner, charterer, shipper, shipmaster class for approval. Liase with class, owner and charterer regarding any dispute in ship strength, load spreading, securing, and provide a resolution. Provide engineering support to business team/ Charterer team in bidding and ship evaluation. File, update and maintain work database. Optimize operation cost and improve work process continuously. Conduct training and impart technical knowledge to others when required. Diploma in Marine Engineering or Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture of equivalent. At least 5 years of work experiences as a Structure/ Basic Design Engineer in shipyard or marine engineering company. Candidates with more experiences may be considered for a higher level position. Hands-on use of Autocad system or similar cad system to produce design drawings. Hands-on use of Femap & Nastran structure analysis software or similar software. Experiences in cargo lashing design, DNV's Lashcon or similar software. Familiar with lifting and rigging design. Demonstrated ability to provide sound structure design work, produce realistic and executable plan. Proficient in using MS office to create report for Class/Owner's approval and for presentation. Good knowledge of ship stability, weight control, ship loading, marine structure and welding design. Able to work independently, cooperatively and proactively.
