Job Responsibilities: Tender Identification & Analysis Search for relevant tenders on GeM, E-Tendering portals, and other government/private procurement platforms. Analyze tender eligibility, scope, and commercial/technical requirements. Tender Documentation & Submission Prepare necessary documents like EMD, technical specifications, compliance sheets, and price bids. Ensure timely submission of tenders on GeM and other e-procurement portals. Upload and manage company profiles, products, and certifications on portals. Bid Preparation & Pricing Work with management to calculate competitive pricing and financial proposals. Review and verify bid documents before submission. Follow-ups & Coordination Track tender progress, bid openings, and result announcements. Follow up with authorities for clarifications, bid results, and negotiations. Vendor Registration & Client Coordination Register the company as a vendor on government and private procurement portals. Coordinate with procurement officers, clients, and internal teams. Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain records of submitted tenders, deadlines, and results. Prepare reports on bid performance, success rates, and improvement strategies. Required Skills: Hands-on experience with GeM and other tender portals. Strong knowledge of government e-procurement processes. Good communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and online bidding systems. Ability to handle deadlines and multitask. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate in Business, Commerce, or any relevant field. Key Responsibilities Formulate and implement procurement strategies for raw materials (stainless steel, nickel-alloy tubes, forgings, castings, precision machined parts) aligned with company goals. Source and develop suppliers, focusing on reliability, technical quality, cost, and localization opportunities. Lead RFQ/RFP processes, prepare detailed comparison sheets, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Issue and manage purchase orders, monitor delivery timelines, inventory levels, and enforce timely supplier performance. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure material specifications and compliance. Support vendor development and conduct periodic audits and performance evaluations. Manage import/export documentation, customs clearances, and regulatory compliance (e.g. Advance License/EPCG incentives where applicable). Maintain inventory control, disposal of obsolete items, and ensure cost-effective stockholding. Generate regular MIS reports (cost savings, supplier rating, delivery metrics, procurement heads-up to management). --- ✅ Core Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical engineering or related field. 5–10 years of progressive procurement experience in heavy engineering, stainless steel manufacturing, tube fabrication, or related sector. Demonstrated expertise in sourcing gears, shafts, tubes, forgings, precision components. Proven negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills, with strong techno-commercial understanding. Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Excel, procurement MIS tools. Desired Skills & Attributes Hands-on ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material specifications. Familiarity with international procurement standards, incoterms, and export/import documentation. Experience with vendor audits, quality assurance coordination, and performance tracking.
