Key Responsibilities: Work as an integral part of the IP litigation team, handling complex and high-stakes IP disputes before various courts and tribunals, with a primary focus on the Bombay High Court. Draft and review pleadings, written statements, rejoinders, legal notices, and other litigation documents pertaining to trademark, copyright, and related IP disputes. Conduct in-depth legal research on relevant case laws, statutes, and emerging issues in IP litigation. Appear before courts, tribunals, and other forums, and assist in the conduct of hearings and trials. Brief and coordinate with senior counsels, prepare case strategies, and ensure effective case management. Manage client communications, provide strategic legal advice, and maintain high standards of client servicing. Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring quality work output and adherence to timelines. Liaise and collaborate with colleagues across branch offices for multi-jurisdictional matters. Travel across India for hearings, client meetings, and case management, as required. Stay abreast of recent legal developments, judgments, and legislative changes in IP law. Candidate Profile / Requirements: Education: LLB from a reputed law school with strong academic credentials. Experience: Minimum 7+ years of post-qualification experience in IP litigation, preferably with a leading law firm in Mumbai. Proven experience handling trademark infringement, passing off, and copyright infringement matters before the Bombay High Court and other courts. Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills. Strong ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (spoken and written). Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate effectively with peers and partners. Must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India and eligible to practice law in India. High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service orientation.
