This role is crucial for maintaining legal compliance, facilitating product approvals, and protecting public health and safety. JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documents and applications for product approvals, registrations, and licenses. 2. Ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, and meet regulatory requirements. 3. Maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle by monitoring changes in regulations and updating processes as needed. 4. Generate SDS as per company requirements. 5. Maintain familiarity with the company s current and future products. 6. Keep up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines. 7. Analyze complex information, including trial data. 8. Have knowledge of requirements for labeling, storage, and packaging of chemicals. 9. Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, representing the company in meetings, negotiations, and during audits or inspections. 10. Write comprehensible, user-friendly, and clear product information leaflets and labels. 11. Oversee the organization and management of regulatory files, records, and documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with both domestic and international regulations. 12. Fill chemical compliance questionnaires and product safety and regulatory affairs forms provided by customers/third parties. 13. Communicate regulatory information and updates to multiple departments, ensuring correct interpretation and implementation. 14. Familiarity with CAS (Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number) and Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN Code expertise). EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 1. Strong knowledge of QHSE practices. 2. Strong knowledge about ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 45001, GMP. 3. In-depth knowledge in GHS/CLP/OSHA harmonized classification, SDS label preparation as per GHS; REACH (Global) regulations, EPA/TSCA/PSR requirements, DG Regulations, etc. 4. In-depth knowledge of core regulatory functions. 5. Proficiency in operating MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and fluency in English to coordinate with international customers. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Accounting: Have an oversight on the accounting function including plant accounting to ensure high level of accuracy to generate meaningful management reports at periodic intervals. 2. Financial & Management Reporting: Guide and drive the Finance team at various locations with respect to preparation of budgets, financial analysis and reporting. The candidate will be required to work closely with the CFO for reporting on various aspects of operations including cost calculations and identifying and implementing Financial Control measures across the organization to ensure timely and accurate periodical Management Reporting and analysis. 3. Compliances: Knowledge of Direct Taxes as well as Indirect Taxes. 4. Systems and Processes: Need to lead and improvise various systems and processes with a view to strengthening the internal controls and ensure that they are in line with best practices. 5. Payroll Accounting: Monthly reconciling of manpower headcount for HO & Plant and also reconciling the Salary Payable with Salary Payment and posting in Navision. 6. TDS Payable: Monthly reconciling of TDS Payable with chart of accounts under various sections and confirming the payment before due date to avoid any interest and penalty. 7. Custom Duty / IGST Paid for Import: Monthly reconciliations of Custom Duty and IGST paid to claim the same under GST on time and to reflect the correct amount in our financials. 8. Interest on Unsecured Loans: Review the working of interest on unsecured loans and TDS deduction on the same. 9. Admin and Selling Expenses: Review the daily booking of expenses at HO for Admin and Selling expenses to ensure correct and timely booking. Also make provisions for monthly review of MIS and financial statements. 10. Prepare and present reports for any work assigned by management. 11. Coordinate with outside agencies and ensure timely compliance with regards to Tax Audit, Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, and any other notices/inquiries. 12. Attend to Income Tax matters including Advance Tax and Assessments. 13. Review of expenses as and when required by management. 14. Suggest ways and means to improve ERP functionality, including automation. 15. Coordinate with the Company Secretary to ensure compliance with Company Law. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 1. Qualified CMA/ICWA with a minimum of 35 years of relevant experience of managing and analysing costs associated with production involving Accounting & Management Reporting, in a large export-oriented manufacturing company (at least 800 crores turnover). 2. Experience of operating in an ERP environment (preferably MS Navision). 3. Proficient in MS Office. 4. Strong communication skills. 5. Knowledge of Company Law.
