Notification for Recruitment of Technical Project Assistants (Project-Based) Applications are invited for the position of Technical Project Assistant (02 posts) in the research project titled ‘Mapping of Potential Mangrove Plantation Areas along the Gujarat Coastline and Development of Knowledge Products under the Project for Ecosystem Restoration in Gujarat (PERG)’ sanctioned by the Gujarat Forest Department and implemented at Department of Environment and Life Sciences, KSKV Kachchh University, Bhuj. 1. Position: Technical Project Assistant (02) 2. Duration: 6 months (purely temporary and co-terminus with the project) 3. Fellowship/Remuneration: ₹45,000 per month (consolidated) 4. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Environmental Science / Botany / Forestry / Marine Science/Life Science/Geology or allied subjects. Knowledge of field sampling and laboratory analysis of soil/sediment parameters. 5. Desirable: Experience in mangrove ecology, coastal/field surveys, or carbon estimation studies. Proficiency in scientific documentation, data handling, and report writing. 6. Job Responsibilities: Conduct sediment and ecological sampling in designated coastal zones. Carry out laboratory analysis of soil/sediment samples. Assist in biomass surveys and preparation of baseline datasets. Support compilation of knowledge products (thematic volumes, Atlas inputs, reports). 7.
