Key responsibilities for QC Engineer : Monitor and ensure compliance with QAP (Quality Assurance Plan), ITP (Inspection & Test Plan), and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). Perform stage-wise inspections: material inspection, fit-up, welding, NDT, painting, and final inspection. Ensure product quality as per drawings, standards, and client specifications. Prepare and maintain quality documents: WPS, PQR, WPQ, weld logs, inspection reports, material traceability records. Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients for approvals and stage inspections. Supervise and review NDT like radiography, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic tests. Interpret NDT reports and coordinate with agencies for compliance and certification. Ensure welders are qualified and welding activities are performed as per approved procedures. Monitor preheating, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment (if applicable). Coordinate with client and third-party inspection agencies (like BV, Lloyds, TUV) for stage inspections and final clearance. Key responsibilities for Production Engineer : Supervise day-to-day fabrication activities (cutting, bending, welding, assembly). Ensure components are fabricated as per approved drawings and QAPs. Monitor the use of materials, consumables, and tools efficiently. Prepare and execute production plans to meet dispatch deadlines. Coordinate with planning and purchase teams for raw material availability. Ensure quality standards are maintained during fabrication. Conduct in-process inspections and support QA/QC audits. Supervise and guide technicians, fitters, and welders. Allocate manpower based on workload and priorities. Maintain fabrication progress reports, weld logs, and daily production records. Prepare NCRs and assist in root cause analysis for rework or defects. Ensure workers use PPE and safe work practices are followed on the shop floor. Review fabrication drawings, suggest corrections if needed. Coordinate with design and QA/QC departments for technical clarifications. Preferred candidate profile Thorough knowledge of fabrication and welding standards (ASME, AWS, IS). Understanding of NDT techniques and interpretations. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and QAPs. Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with quality management systems. Sound knowledge of fabrication processes (welding, cutting, machining). • Familiar with fabrication codes (IS, ASME, AWS, etc.). Experience in handling fabrication of heavy structures, vessels, or platforms. Proficient in reading engineering drawings. Strong communication and leadership skills. Working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD/SolidWorks is an advantage. Required Qualifications : Diploma & Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or a related field. 3–4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
