Have an undying curiosity for business to business, SME, Startups, SmallBiz, alternative finance, Fintech? Our company is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our KoreTeam. Responsibilities: Other duties as required; Maintain bank transactions and monthly bank reconciliation and account reconciliations; Preparation of journal entries, along with posting entries in accounting systems; Analysing and preparing bank deposits, maintaining electronic and physical financial records; Processing and entering invoices, expense reports and other financial transactions, including tax remittances; Prepare cheque and EFT runs to ensure employees, contractors, and vendors are paid on time; Is familiar with and can enforce and maintain the accounting procedures/practices and internal controls of the STC corporations as assigned; Follow inter-company chargeback requests; Prepare monthly transaction reports; Digitize documents to dematerialize the accounting and send certain information to the head office; Managing and reporting expenses; Perform all tasks related requests made by CFO; Posting entries into excel, Quick Books Online, Wave Apps, etc.; Post payable invoices into accounting system; Accounts Receivable follow up, collections and entries to the subledger. Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong english language skills, and experience with collections Excellent attention to detail; Excellent data entry skills; Must be an organized, enthusiastic and professional person who is self-motivated, flexible and adaptable; Consideration may be given to those possessing accounting/finance training with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience; Must be able to organize material and present information clearly and concisely in verbal and written form; Must be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information; Must be able to perform duties independently without close supervision; Experience using Excel; Post-secondary education, preferably Accounting designation; Must demonstrate skills in online software applications, specifically the MS Office programs Excel and Word, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets); Must be tech-savvy with Quickbooks, Wave exposure being a definite asset; Essential – 2 to 5 years of relevant experience; 1-3 years experience and/or related work experience; Essential – Accounting DCS; Excellent numerical skills.
