Main Tasks: 1. Understanding and experience in the development of sheet metal parts & fabrication 2. Good Experience in Welding a. Knowledge with EN15085, ISO3834-2 certification system b. Knowledge with ASME sections c. Hand on experience with WPS, PQR, WPQ, Weld Repair Procedure as per EN 15614 and ASME Section IX requirements d. Knowledge on Welder qualification process e. Knowledge of EN13445 standards for reservoirs f. Guiding vendors for development of welding fixtures and welding SPMs 3. Good Knowledge on development process a. Ability to read & analyze Engineering standards, technical documents, BOM and drawings. b. New supplier evaluation and Addition activities c. Preparation of Cost comparison, PR, PO & LOI d. Knowledge of costing, quote analysis and negotiation skills e. Price Increase / Decrease based on RM fluctuation and process change. f. Audit for special processes & new suppliers in coordination with SQA g. Process improvements at supplier for cost saving or quality achievement. h. Receipt inspection and Line parts quality concern analysis & countermeasure implementation 5. Knowledge on material properties and special process a. Alternate material list preparation and approval based on material availability in Indian market. Knowledge of various Standards and international (ASTM, ISO, JIS, DIN, IS) related to steel & alloys b. Special processes knowledge - Welding, Surface treatment and Heat treatment 6. Knowledge in SAP transactions and well known with Microsoft tools. Professional Competency Required: Fabrication & Sheet metal manufacturing. Good knowledge in welding.
