Knitting Inline Quality Controller

Job Title: Inline Quality Controller (Inline QC)

Location: Pranera Textiles, Tiruppur Department: Quality – Garment Division Reporting to: Quality Manager / Line Supervisor Experience: 2–5 Years in Garment Quality Control Qualification: Diploma or ITI in Textile/Apparel or relevant field

Job Purpose:

To monitor and control the quality of garments during production on the sewing line, ensuring that defects are identified and corrected at the source to meet buyer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inline Quality Checks:

• Conduct continuous inspection of garments during various stages of stitching.

• Ensure the right stitching methods and construction techniques are followed.

• Check measurement, appearance, and finishing quality as per style requirements.

• Defect Identification & Reporting:

• Identify sewing and construction defects (e.g., open seams, puckering, skipped stitches, etc.).

• Report major issues to the line supervisor and quality head immediately.

• Maintain a defect register and tally sheet for daily production.

• Preventive Action & Feedback:

• Provide real-time feedback to operators to correct and prevent recurring defects.

• Suggest improvements in operation methods to enhance quality output.

• Documentation:

• Fill inline quality inspection reports and maintain records as per protocol.

• Support in preparing final summary reports for quality reviews.

• Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to buyer-approved samples, tech packs, and quality manuals.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety practices on the production floor.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of garment construction and sewing operations.

• Familiar with quality inspection methods and defect classification.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Effective communication and team coordination skills.

• Familiarity with AQL and buyer-specific quality requirements (preferred).
