Previous work experience as a CNC programmer, a computer-related field or a mechanical field. Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models. Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job. Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications. Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process. Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product. Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software. Should have good knowledge of G-code and M-code & must have knowledge in MDI(manual data input). Extensive experience with computer modelling software. Creates instructions for machinists. Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut. Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program. Reviews 3D CAD design and Master Cam software Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests. Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software. Knowledge of various machining tools and techniques. Analyses job order and performs necessary calculations. Analyses and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs. Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task. Must have superior computer programming skills. Must have excellent reading comprehension skills. Should have good knowledge in MS office( Excel, Word )
