Stock materials properly to ensure they are easily accessible and protected from damage. Issue materials to work crews based on authorized requisitions and maintain accurate records of consumption. Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed, coordinating with the purchasing department. Conduct regular stocktaking and periodic inventory checks to maintain accuracy. Handle the disposal or return of unused materials. Maintain records for tools, machinery, and cash purchases. Staff and operational management Hire, train, and supervise store staff and assign their duties. Provide ongoing training on product knowledge, procedures, and safety protocols. Manage staff performance, conduct evaluations, and handle disciplinary issues. Ensure store and storage areas are clean, organized, and safe for staff and visitors. Enforce all health, safety, and security policies and conduct regular inspections. Manage daily operations, including opening and closing the store. Reporting and administration Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, consumption, and costs to project management. Help in preparing material consumption reports. Monitor and manage the store's budget and look for cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with company and project policies and external regulations.
