Job Summary: An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides urgent medical care and transportation to patients in emergency situations.provide life-saving interventions, and safely transport patients to healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities: 1) Respond promptly to emergency calls and arrive at scenes quickly. 2) Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priorities for emergency care. 3) Provide basic life support (BLS), including CPR, bleeding control, splinting, and airway management. 4) Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently. 5) Transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while monitoring vital signs and keeping detailed records. 6) Communicate effectively with patients, families, bystanders, and medical professionals. 7) Maintain medical equipment and inventory in ambulances. 8) Ensure cleanliness and readiness of emergency response vehicles. 9) Document all patient care activities accurately in compliance with legal and organizational standards. 10) Participate in training and continuing education to maintain certification and stay updated on medical procedures. Qualifications: 1) Completion of a state-approved EMT training program. 2) Current EMT certification (EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic, depending on the role). 3) CPR certification 4) Ability to lift and move patients and equipment. 5) Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure. Preferred Skills: 1) Experience in emergency medical services (EMS) or similar roles. 2) Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures. 3) Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 4) Teamwork and collaboration in high-stress situations.
