JD for Industrial Electrician Position Title: Junior Electrician Industry: Infrastructure – Combined Water Supply Scheme (CWSS) Piping Projects Experience: Min. 2 to 3 years Location: Chennai Reports to: Project Manager Job Specification – Electrician (Industrial) Role Objective: Responsible for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the plant’s electrical infrastructure — ensuring reliable power, strict safety compliance, and uninterrupted operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain 500 KVA systems , HT Panels , transformers, MCC, and related electrical equipment. Handle STP plants and associated machinery with sound technical know-how. Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Diagnose faults swiftly, attend breakdowns, and minimize downtime. Comply with statutory electrical safety standards , LOTO procedures, and IE/IS norms. Maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and energy usage reports. Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and STP teams for smooth plant operations. Prepare maintenance calendars , follow protocols, and ensure proper documentation. Communicate effectively with the Principal Employer and relevant stakeholders. Support procurement of essential spares and consumables. Be flexible to attend shifts or emergency duty as required. Qualification & Experience: Diploma in Electrical Engineering . Minimum 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. C Certificate License preferred (not mandatory). Strong knowledge of government electrical codes and plant protocols. Quick starter, able to adapt and deliver with minimal supervision.
