Position Summary:The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production and fabrication operations within the workshop, ensuring that project components are manufactured as per drawings, quality standards, and delivery schedules. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes, and coordination with design, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities:Supervise day-to-day production and fabrication activities on the shop floor. Plan and allocate work to operators, welders, fitters, and helpers as per project requirements. Ensure fabrication and assembly work are carried out as per approved drawings and standards. Monitor welding quality, fit-up accuracy, and adherence to daily production targets. Coordinate with Design, QA/QC, and Planning departments for any technical clarifications. Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials. Maintain daily production logs, progress reports, and shift handovers. Oversee and maintain housekeeping activities on the shop floor to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with 5S standards. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality issues, and resource shortages. Support Production Manager in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress. Ensure all tools, measuring instruments, and equipment are in proper working condition. Promote continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Supervise subcontractors or outsourced fabrication work, if applicable. Required Qualifications & Experience:Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 3–8 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing (preferably in heavy engineering, dryers, ovens, or process equipment industry). Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, assembly, and material handling processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication layouts. Experience with machines such as shearing, rolling, bending, cutting, and welding. Familiarity with quality control and inspection processes. Basic knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Discipline, punctuality, and attention to detail.
