As a Business Development Manager, your role will involve the following key responsibilities and activities: - Handling Proposals, Tenders, Estimations, Clients, and Contracts: - Developing business development capabilities of the company in alignment with the business plan - Evaluating the relevance and effectiveness of bidding procedures, workflows, and following standard procedures - Presenting proposals to clients and persuading them to obtain business for the company - Reviewing and preparing tenders, estimations, and cost estimation sheets - Coordinating with customers at the pre-tender stage - Business Development Opportunities for the Future and Clients: - Maintaining relationships with key customers, consultants, owners, and suppliers - Coordinating with internal teams such as Operations, Engineering, Finance, Contract, and Marketing - Developing the market in foundation engineering - Collaboration with Internal and External Stakeholders: - Collaborating effectively with internal teams and coordinating with the technical team to develop bid strategy and propose solutions - Identifying new clients, business opportunities, and creating networks in the market - Providing customer requirements to the technical team and developing a database for future reference - Inspiring and Guiding Others: - Developing guidance on bid strategy and contracts and providing guidance to the team as necessary - Mentoring and allocating resources to build a strong team - Staying Updated with Recent Market Trends: - Maintaining an overview of the economy and construction market, monitoring trends, and identifying opportunities and threats - Other Activities: - Writing technical documents (reports, papers) for tenders, marketing, and other purposes - Presenting foundation solutions to prospective customers Qualifications Required: - Understanding of Construction, Civil, and Ground Engineering business with experience in dealing with projects including leads, bidding, costing, and contract negotiation - Knowledge of foundation engineering market, customer requirements, and new techniques - Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills - Proficiency in Excel - 6-8 years of experience in Sales/Business Development (Engineers with less experience may be considered for a junior role) - B Tech / BE in Civil Engineering or M Tech / ME in Geotechnical Engineering (Desired),
